There are 200,000+ missing black people in America. HBO worked with non-profit organization Black & Missing as well as a talented group of digital artists to reimagine missing posters. The social media campaign’s primary goal was to spread awareness about these missing people and promote the upcoming film Black & Missing. The pieces were pushed out via HBO-owned social handles as well as influencer handles and projected onto the Reginald L. Lewis African American Museum in Baltimore, MD. HBO also released an episode of its original YT series Culture Closeupfeaturing the organization’s cofounders in conversation with journalist and producer Soledad O’ Brien.
